Dr. Sidney D. Lehr is a 1988 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Personal & undergraduate:
Dr. Lehr received his undergraduate degree in chemistry at the University of Delaware where he met his wife, Pam. His education continued at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland where he earned his Masters degree in chemistry. Feeling the need to pursue his life-long ambition to become a veterinarian, Dr. Lehr traveled south to Columbus, Ohio, where he began his four-year study of veterinary medicine at The Ohio State University in 1984.
The Lehrs have two daughters and live with Harley, a young and rambunctious Pomeranian and two cats (Dina and Lola).
Offices, university teaching post:
Dr. Lehr has been very active in the county veterinary society. He has at times been president, vice president and has served two consecutive terms as secretary. He also continues as Clinical Assistant Professor of Biomedical Sciences at nearby Florida Atlantic University assisting the university veterinarian when his services are needed.
Special interests:
Dr. Lehr’s special professional interests include pain management, dermatology, surgery, anesthesiology, dentistry, and cardiology. His personal interests include butterfly gardening, playing with computers and using his digital camera to pursue his life-long hobby of photography.
Organizational Affiliations:
Dr. Lehr is a member of the Palm Beach Veterinary Society, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Information Network, and holds a position with Florida Atlantic University.
